The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) is one of the world’s largest and most respected aeromedical organisations. In Queensland, we deliver essential primary healthcare and emergency aeromedical services to more than 330,000 Australians each year—one person every two minutes! Due to internal promotion, the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) (RFDS) is looking for a highly experienced, self-motivated, and engaging individual to join the Digital and Technology team in the role of Clinical Systems Administrator.
The Clinical Systems Administrator is responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of applications and technology that support RFDS business critical clinical business systems.
In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
- Monitor and report the performance of clinical systems across RFDS and proactively manage the capacity and tuning of these systems
- Incident and problem management
- System availability and capacity management
- Configuration Release and Change Management
- Stakeholder and Relationship management
The RFDS (Queensland Section) and RFDS (South Eastern Section) collaborate to offer shared D&T support and maintenance services. A unified team from both sections works together as a Shared Service to provide top-notch services to both organisations by utilising their combined expertise.
Who are we looking for?
- A skilled communicator and collaborator, able to engage with diverse stakeholders
- Complex problem-solving skills and ability to explain technical issues and solutions in simple easy to understand language
- 7+ years of experience implementing and supporting clinical business systems
- Proficient in supporting clinical systems SQL databases and industry-standard messaging technologies
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience
