Are you ready to take your supply chain expertise to new heights? The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) is seeking a strategic and dynamic Supply Chain Manager to support our vital 24/7 operations. In this pivotal role, you’ll ensure the seamless flow of parts, consumables, tooling, and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) across Queensland, enabling the timely maintenance of our aircraft and rapid response to Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events.

The Supply Chain Manager is a Permanent, Full-time role based at the Brisbane Airport.
  
Duties include:
  
Your key responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Lead and develop the Parts & Logistics team to deliver timely and cost-effective procurement and inventory solutions
  • Work as part of the Technical Operations management team to strategically support the RFDSQ fleet operations
  • Develop, implement and effectively manage RFDS QLD supply chain
  • Provide oversight and management of tooling and equipment across the engineering network, ensuring calibration, compliance, and availability to support maintenance activities
  • Raise, track and monitor open requisitions and purchase orders
  • Liaise with base Engineers and subcontractors on tooling details and calibration reports
  • Compliance with all Occupational, Health, Safety & Welfare policies and procedures
  • Provide strong effective leadership within management of purchasing and logistics to meet operational requirements
Who are we looking for?
  
To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following:
  • Aviation or equivalent technical experience in aviation logistics and stock control
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing a supply chain or logistics team within the aviation sector
  • Sound knowledge of, or ability to understand, the regulatory environment in relation to Aircraft Maintenance and Airworthiness Control
  • High level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Proficient computer skills including the ability to pick up new computer applications
  • Ability to understand and resolve complex problems and systems
Desirable skills and experience
  • Cert IV in Warehousing Operations
  • Forklift Licence
  • Dangerous Goods experience and qualifications
