Looking for a job that’s more than just a job? Join the Royal Flying Doctor Service South Eastern Section (RFDSSE) in Dubbo and be part of a team that helps deliver health care to people right across rural and remote NSW.

About the role

Every day in our Operations Control Centre (OCC) is different. As a Duty Operations Coordinator, you’ll be the person who helps keep everything moving – making sure aircraft, vehicles, crews, and clinicians are where they need to be so patients can get the care they need.

On any shift, you might:

  • Schedule patient transfers by air and road
  • Keep track of crews and vehicles already on the move
  • Answer calls and pass on clear, timely information
  • Work with aircraft engineers, doctors, nurses, pilots, and drivers to solve problems when plans change
  • Record details accurately and hand over smoothly to the next shift

It’s busy, varied work that requires a calm head, a good eye for detail, and a willingness to work as part of a close-knit team.

What we're looking for

We don’t expect you to know everything on day one, you’ll get full training in our systems and processes. What matters most is that you bring:

  • Confidence using computers and learning new systems
  • The ability to stay organised and think clearly under pressure
  • A knack for solving problems and keeping at it until things are sorted
  • Good communication skills — on the phone, by email / Teams, and with your teammates
  • A positive attitude and willingness to work shifts (including nights and weekends)
  • Criminal History Check required (to be completed on appointment)
  • NSW Driver’s Licence (or equivalent)
  • NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Category B vaccinations

Why work with us

  • Be part of a purpose-driven team that makes a real difference every day
  • 5 weeks annual leave and generous salary packaging options
  • Access to Fitness Passport for discounted gym and pool memberships
  • Ongoing training and development to build your skills and career
  • Work with passionate, down-to-earth people in a supportive team environment
