Through the Flying Doctor GP - Health Group program, RFDS Victoria operates locally based health clinics to better support Victorians to access health care in their own rural and remote communities.
Flying Doctor GP - Health Group was established in 2019 to provide face-to-face and telehealth GP services in Robinvale. In 2023, the program joined with Robinvale District Medical Centre to expand services to meet the community need.
Appointments through Flying Doctor GP - Health Group are low cost and are supported through funding by RFDS Victoria’s donors.

Why the Flying Doctor offers this service
Many small communities across Victoria struggle to recruit permanent GPs and health care practitioners. As a result, locals face great barriers when it comes to accessing health care appointments, and many rural communities experience worse health outcomes than people living in towns and cities.
RFDS Victoria is committed to ensuring great health care is accessible to all Victorians. As such, Flying Doctor GP - Health Group exists to help reduce the health inequity that exists between rural and metropolitan communities. By partnering with local health care providers and managing the operations of permanent health clinics, we provide our community members with strong local health services that respect the unique community needs and cultures of each town.

As well as offering standard GP consultations, we have experienced nurses who can provide services including vaccinations, wound care and chronic disease management. We also have GPs that specialize in the following areas:
