Dentist
- Work for Australia’s most trusted and iconic charity
- Support rural and regional communities through our mobile dental clinic
- RFDS is looking for Dentists interested in future opportunities within RFDS
When people talk about the Flying Doctor, thoughts generally turn to red-bellied planes undertaking rescue missions in the Outback. However, the current Victorian story is one that reflects today's challenges for people living in remote and rural communities across the state. While we do still transport people by air and by road, this work is complemented by a range of primary health services that address the most common issues people living in country Victoria face when accessing health care.
About the Flying Doctor Dental Clinic (FDDC)
The Flying Doctor Dental Clinic provides vital oral health services to rural Victorian communities in partnership with Dental Health Services Victoria (DHSV) and the Australian Dental Association Victorian Branch (ADAVB).
Our dedicated team of dentists, oral health therapists and dental assistants deliver examinations, oral health promotion and treatment from our purpose-built mobile dental units, supporting more than 40 communities across the state.
