The Royal Flying Doctor Service South Eastern Section (RFDSSE) is once again taking flight for the Mundi Mundi Plains as an official charity partner of the 2025 Mundi Mundi Bash festival, which will feature iconic, Australian headline acts such as Missy Higgins, Hoodoo Gurus and The Angels from 21 to 23 August.

"The furthest corner deserves the finest care, and the incredible Mundi Mundi Bash community continues to demonstrate their commitment to our mission," said Greg Sam, CEO, Royal Flying Doctor Service South Eastern Section.

"The generosity of the Outback Music Festival Group (OMFG) and the Mundi Mundi Bashers has raised over $550,000 since 2022, directly supporting our ability to respond to emergencies across the outback of NSW 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Ready to rock n roll in Flying Doctor country this August, we’re excited to see some familiar and new faces again in 2025."

This year, there are even more opportunities for festival-goers to support the RFDS while enjoying the event. Every ticket sold for the iconic Mundi Undi Run and the final Nutbush World Record Attempt directly translates to better health outcomes for regional, rural and remote communities.

Bashers will also be able to visit the Mobile Education Unit, a life-size fuselage of an RFDS aircraft, complete with cockpit simulator and medical bay, and spend time getting to know our RFDS team on the ground.

Around a third of RFDS’s funding comes from donations and the generosity of supporters like OMFG and the thousands of people who descend on Mundi Mundi is critical to help the RFDS bridge the healthcare gap for remote Australians.

"Bashers come from all over Australia. Some of them live in regional areas, others come from urban cities. Most would have a GP somewhere in their community or have an Emergency Department nearby. That is not the case for the communities we support,” said Greg.

“When you visit the Bash, you’re guaranteed a good time, but you also have this amazing opportunity to experience the beauty and the isolation of the Far West. It really brings home just how important our services are. And if festival-goers look up while at the Bash, there’s a good chance they will see one of our aircraft flying overhead,” added Greg.

Festival-goers looking to extend their outback experience in the region can explore the newly re-opened Outback Heritage Experience at the nearby Broken Hill RFDS Base. This award-winning facility offers visitors an immersive journey through the remarkable history and current operations of the Flying Doctor, showcasing how healthcare is delivered across Australia's most remote landscapes.
