Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, and her husband Dennis Wilson became joint patrons of our Section in early May 2019.

Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC is the 39th Governor of New South Wales and commenced her five-year term on 2 May 2019. Before she was appointed Governor, Her Excellency enjoyed a long and distinguished law career spanning 43 years. During this time she served as a role model for women in law at both the state and national level. Her Excellency succeeds General the Honourable David Hurley AC, DSC, FTSE and Mrs Hurley, who were our joint patrons from 2 October 2014 – 1 May 2019. General the Honourable David Hurley will become the next Governor-General of Australia. We extend our deep gratitude for their patronage and support over the last five years. Her Excellency brings her deep commitment to education, youth leadership, human rights and social justice to the role of Governor and Patron.​
