We are exceptionally proud of Fallon Gray, Royal Flying Doctor Service South Eastern Section’s General Practice Business Development Lead, as she was declared a finalist for the 2025 National Rural and Remote Health Awards in the Excellence in Rural/Remote Health Administration category.
The National Rural and Remote Health Awards, held on the 5th November 2025, celebrate the extraordinary efforts of health professionals and organisations serving remote and rural communities around Australia.
Inaugurated by Rural Health Pro at Parliament House in 2023, the Awards take place each November as part of Rural Health Month, and bring together rural, remote and Indigenous health community members to pay tribute to their commitment and resourcefulness in the face of unique challenges.
Reinstating vital primary care services
Fallon’s recognition follows the RFDSSE winning the Rural/Remote Health Employer of the Year category in 2024 for bringing about dramatic improvement in access to primary health care services in the rural NSW towns of Warren, Gilgandra and Condobolin.
Since joining the RFDSSE, Fallon has played a key role in saving from certain closure the only community General Practices in the North-Western NSW towns of Warren, Gilgandra and Condobolin.
Fallon has helped the Practices not just become accredited – in itself an accomplishment – but be fully operational. If the Practices didn’t exist, their 12,000 patients would face hours of travel to essential, basic primary care.
I am truly honoured to just be nominated, let alone be a finalist for this Rural and Remote Health Administration National award. This nomination means recognition of the extensive work and dedication that I have put into RFDS Medical Services in Condobolin, Gilgandra and Warren to embed and deliver sustainable primary health care and deliver health access to communities that would otherwise have to travel.

She has been instrumental in forging strong partnerships with local councils, service providers, and healthcare networks. Her collaborative approach has embedded RFDS services within the broader health ecosystem, enhancing coordination and amplifying impact. This strategic alignment reflects her deep understanding of rural health dynamics and her commitment to long-term, place-based solutions.
A hallmark of Fallon’s leadership is her ability to manage a geographically dispersed team of clinicians, support staff, and partners. Her administrative systems and communication strategies ensure seamless coordination and high-quality care across vast distances. She has also led targeted recruitment efforts, securing permanent staff to improve continuity of care.
