Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, and her husband Dennis Wilson have proudly served as joint Patrons of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (South Eastern Section) since May 2019. 

For more than six years, they have extended unwavering support to our mission to ensure that all Australians have access to vital healthcare, no matter where they live.

Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC is the 39th Governor of New South Wales, having commenced her role on 2 May 2019. Before she was appointed Governor, Her Excellency enjoyed a long and distinguished law career spanning 43 years. During this time she served as a role model for women in law at both the state and national level. Her Excellency brings her deep commitment to education, youth leadership, human rights and social justice to the role of Governor and Patron.​

The Royal Flying Doctor Service has always depended on the generosity and advocacy of those who understand that healthcare is a fundamental right, not a privilege determined by postcode. Our Patrons serve as powerful ambassadors for this principle, using their platform to raise awareness of the unique healthcare challenges faced by rural and remote Australians.
