1800 RFDS SA emergency number

People living, working and travelling in the bush in South Australia have a new 1800 emergency number to call when they need the help of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS). Calls to 1800 RFDS SA (1800 733 772) are monitored and received 24 hours a day by RFDS staff in Port Augusta.

The dedication of a new Pilatus PC-12 'flying intensive care unit' by the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) has been given an added boost with the generous gifting of $600,000 by Adelaide businessman Simon Hackett to fund the aeromedical fitout of the new aircraft - VH-FXJ or "Juliet'.
