It took seven surgeries and four months recovering before Tony was able to walk out of hospital. Today, Tony is back running his steel fabrication business, just a little slower. His legs have pins, plates and scars, “but they work,” Tony said.
Before the accident, Tony and his wife Leanne didn’t know much about the Flying Doctor. “I didn’t realise how much we needed the RFDS until we needed them,” Tony said. “And I didn’t realise how much you need donations to keep flying.”
After his accident, Tony and Leanne signed up to make an ongoing regular donation, and when Tony’s mates wanted to help his family, he told them to donate to the RFDS instead. Tony says his accident has brought the family much closer. He’s optimistic about the future, and Leanne along with his kids and grandkids love having him home.
Your care and concern delivered urgent care to Tony, saved his life and returned him home to his loving family. Thank you.
