Here at the Royal Flying Doctor Service (South Eastern Section) (RFDSSE), we are always growing and expanding our services.

We are pleased to welcome two dedicated and passionate people into the roles of Regional Services Manager (RSM) at Dubbo and Broken Hill respectively.

Mark Whitfeld is our RSM for Western NSW, operating from Dubbo. He has a varied background in teaching, strategic planning and service development within Agriculture, the Australian Federal Police and the Australian Defence Force.

Most recently he managed the vaccination roll out for the ADF across our service plan.

“Since starting with the organisation in May, I have been fortunate to have visited so many of the communities we serve and, in that time, expanded my knowledge of the work of the Flying Doctor team considerably,” Mr Whitfeld said.

“I am excited to work with the wider team across the South Eastern Section, our partners and our vital supporters and volunteers to provide the best possible care for our communities.”

Mark added that he is proud to be a part of Australia’s most trusted charity and enjoys helping communities in their moment of need.

Jackie Hanniver has stepped into the role of Acting RSM for Far Western NSW, based at Broken Hill.

A familiar face in the Flying Doctor team, Jackie comes to this role with over 11 years of local experience in the field of emergency, nursing and midwifery working as a Flight Nurse and most recently as Manager Education and Development.

“My previous experience working with the Flying Doctor as a Flight Nurse and educator has provided me with invaluable local knowledge and skills to bring to this new role,” Ms Hanniver said.

“I look forward to supporting the Far West team to continue to deliver the finest care to the furthest corner.”
