Team Leader Mental Health/AoD Services
The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia South Eastern Section provides comprehensive primary and emergency health services to rural and remote communities in far west NSW, SA and QLD.
We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Team Leader of our Mental Health & AoD Programs, with a passion for rural and remote health and wellbeing.
This role will lead our expanding team of mental health clinicians working from our Broken Hill and Dubbo bases as well as have clinical oversight of the Western NSW Outreach Alcohol and Other Drugs Service which is a newly established joint AoD program with Lyndon.
This role will largely focus on clinical governance of the programs, recruitment and retention strategies, collating data, adhering to reporting requirements and manage compliance with the National Mental Health Standards.
The successful applicant will also carry a small clinical case load so will be required to attend remote clinics on a roster basis and deliver clinical mental health services direct to clients in our network.
This role will engage regularly with other service providers and clinical leads and participate in service integration opportunities and service expansion opportunities across Western NSW.
This role will work in conjunction with other RFDS medical and allied health staff in Broken Hill, Cobar and Dubbo.
Your skills will be utilised to improve the mental health outcomes for people living in rural and remote areas, and build awareness and social and emotional wellbeing to the communities of our sector. Extensive mental health themed activities are delivered by the team throughout the year based on consumer feedback and participation.
