The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (RFDS) is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world. using the latest in aviation, medical and communications technology, we deliver extensive health care and 24-hour emergency service to those who live in and travel through remote, rural and regional Australia.

This Full Time role can based either at our Mascot offices or at our Dubbo base. Reporting to the General Manager Aviation and Strategic Development, the primary purpose of the role is to support the delivery of project and program outcomes, The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and be a highly efficient administrator. Current projects include new training and engineering facilities, technology implementation, aircraft and vehicle acquisition with subsequent entry into service.

The key duties for this role include

  • Project Management
  • Regular travel within Australia in support of project delivery, program management and service development.
  • Assist with budget planning and oversight departmental expenditure.
  • Procurement management.
  • Support to financial analysis
  • Secretariat support to Board Aviation Sub-Committee and other high level meetings.
  • Industry research into Aviation regulation and best practice.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations of findings on specific aviation initiatives.
  • Diary and travel management support to the General Manager

The Successful Applicant

You are a passionate, highly motivated and organised professional with proven results in aviation or project management; you will also bring to the role;

  • A demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a demanding environment.
  • Be a highly resourceful, innovative team player, with the capacity to be effective independently.
  • Have excellent administrative, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Have a high level of administrative experience and knowledge/experience of project coordination. A tertiary qualification in a relevant field would be an advantage.
  • You will be a proactive forward thinking person, poised to support excellence in project and program delivery.
