Primary Health Nurse

The Royal Flying Doctor Service (South Eastern Section) is looking for a suitably experienced Registered Nurse to join their Primary Health Team in our North West Corridor (Lightning Ridge and Bourke areas)

The Primary Health Nurse will be engaged on a maximum term, full time basis for a contract until 30 June 2021 on, to conduct a trial of primary health services across North Western NSW. The role encompasses clinical, quality and educational services across the age spectrum.

We’re looking for a Registered Nurse with recent experience in health promotion and education in Chronic Disease Management, Diabetes Education within a community and clinic based Primary Health setting in rural and remote areas.

Essential Skills Required:

-Registered Nurse with non-conditional APHRA registration
- Demonstrated experience in patient education and working autonomously
- Ability and willingness to travel to locations in the north west of NSW, either by aircraft or road, including overnight stays.

Desired Skills Required:

- Qualifications in Practice Nursing/Chronic Disease Management/Diabetes Management
- Nurse Immuniser Certificate
- Experience in undertaking health assessments
