Primary Health Nurse (Broken Hill)

The Royal Flying Doctor Service (South Eastern Section) is looking for a suitably experienced Registered Nurse to join their Primary Health Team at Broken Hill. Whilst the role will be based out of Dubbo, the position will be mobile, operating in northern central NSW.

The Primary Health Nurse will be engaged on a maximum term, full time basis for a twelve-month period, and will set up and delivery primary health services across north western NSW, including provision of respiratory clinics with COVID19 testing.

We are looking for a candidate with:
- Experience working in community and clinic based Primary Health settings in rural and remote areas.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Primary Health Care including Chronic Disease Management, Child and Family Health, Women’s Health, Men’s Health, Health promotion, Early Intervention.
- Experience setting up clinics or working in non-traditional clinical settings.
- Experience with electronic medical record systems, preferably Medical Director or Best Practice.

Skills Required:
- Registered Nurse with non-conditional APHRA registration
- Nurse Immuniser Certificate
- Basic Life Support Certification (within past 12 months)
- Advanced Life Support / or willingness to obtain same within 2 months of employment
- Family Planning training in Cervical Screening Tests desirable
- Excellent computer literacy, prioritisation and time management skills
- Ability and willingness to travel to locations in the north west of NSW, either by aircraft or road, including overnight stays.
