Patient Transfer Manager

The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (RFDS) is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world. Using the latest in aviation, medical and communications technology, we deliver extensive health care and 24-hour emergency service to those who live in and travel through remote, rural and regional Australia.

We are looking for a responsive leader with good communication and time management skills to join us in the new position of Patient Transfer Manager.

Operating from either our Dubbo or Bankstown base, and reporting through to the General Manager Base Operations and Service Delivery, the Patient Transfer Manager will be responsible for managing a small team of shift workers to deliver non-emergency transport services (road and air) across remote, rural and regional New South Wales. Your initial brief will be to create and manage an implementation plan to ensure assets and resources, including a communication centre, are ready to go live at contract commencement proposed for March 2018.

Ideally you will have experience in a health care, aviation or logistics setting. You will exhibit a personal commitment to working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, and will be comfortable and accountable for managing service delivery.
