Patient Safety & Clinical Quality Manager
The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia South Eastern Section provides comprehensive health services to rural and
remote communities in far west NSW, SA and QLD.
As part of our ongoing commitment to the people of our network to provide health care to the highest standard possible,
we are expanding our allied health team to include the position of Patient Safety & Clinical Quality Manager.
This exciting new role can be based in Broken Hill, Dubbo or Sydney, its key role is to lead and support our clinical teams
in various accreditation processes including ISO 9001:2015 and AGPAL. Oversight clinical information systems, design, implement and ensure the continuous
improvement of our Clinical Governance Framework. Work collaboratively with clinical staff to enhance the quality of care and patient safety and provide
high level advice on matters related to patient safety and clinical quality.
If you have demonstrated experience in the application of the concepts, principles and practice of clinical governance including patient safety and clinical risk management you may be the person we are looking for.
Do you have the following experience/education
- Relevant tertiary qualification in a health related field
- Post graduate qualifications relevant to health safety and quality is desirable.
Are you able to demonstrate the following competences
- Experience in leadership in health-related Clinical Governance systems
- Ability to build best practice safety and audit tools and training
- Ability to incorporate next practice thinking in the ongoing development of clinical governance systems
- Analyse, monitor, report and evaluate patient safety and accreditation initiatives.
- Knowledge of culture change, human factors, quality and safety techniques including clinical practice improvement and root cause.
