The Royal Flying Doctor Service (South Eastern Section) is seeking applications from highly experienced and effective health leaders for the newly created roles of Operations Centre Manager to be based in Dubbo to enable the successful initiation and growth of our Operational Support and further our mission to deliver improved outcomes to remote, regional and rural communities.

About the Role

This is a new and critical operationally leading role, which will work closely with the Health Services Manager and other key operational roles to support, optimise and manage the day-to-day utilisation of workforce and assets required to deliver on our organisational health plan and service objectives.

The position will ensure the delivery of safe, high quality and efficient delivery of health services through the centralised Operations Centre. The scope of this role will also ensure that the organisation meets its obligations as they relate to service levels and operational targets for the various traditional service programs and commercial contracts.

Qualifications / Experience that we are looking for:

• Demonstrated capability and experience in an operational Leadership or Managerial role
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and mentor teams to meet organisational goals.
• An understanding of rural and remote practice in both Primary Health and Emergency/Transport Health Services
• Experience in strategic and operational planning
• Solution-minded with a demonstrated ability to proactively resolve problems and issues
• Experience in strategic and operational planning
• Budget and financial acumen
• Affinity with remote communities and a commitment to contribute to greater equity and access to health services

The successful candidate will be supported to achieve, through a period of induction and coaching with our General Manager Base Operations and Service Delivery, and broader Executive and senior stakeholders. We are seeking an exceptional leader with a range of skills, who can guide, mentor and support a team in a complex and varied health service environment.
