Manager - Governance, Engagement and Development
The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (RFDS) is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world. From its Broken Hill Base the RFDS South Eastern Section provides emergency retrievals, inter-hospital transport, regular general practice/primary health clinics, dental services, medical chests and telephone consultations to those living and travelling in far-west NSW, south-west Queensland and northern South Australia. The Section also works with local health services to implement primary health care in the communities served by the Section.
The Royal Flying Doctor Service South Eastern Section is now looking for a Manager – Governance, Engagement and Development to lead a team to develop a strategy for the organisation in areas of Clinical Governance, Stakeholder and Community Engagement, and Clinical Education and Development. The strategy will focus on a 5-year program to create the elements necessary to continue the progress of the Health Service towards becoming a leading rural and remote health service provider and training facility.
The Manager – Governance, Engagement and Development will be expected to work between the bases, leading the portfolio for the South Eastern Section. This is a full time position and flexible with location – Sydney, Dubbo or Broken Hill.
Skills Required
Essential:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working at a mid to senior level of management
- Relevant experience in governance, education or related field
- Post graduate qualifications in related field (or working towards)
- Tertiary Qualifications in a health related field
- Current Registration with regulatory body - AHPRA
- Experience engaging with stakeholders at all levels
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment
Desirable:
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and advocacy
- Experience in setting up or assisting setting up an educational facility/service
- Financial Management
