The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia South Eastern Section provides comprehensive health services, including dentistry, to remote communities in far west NSW SA and QLD. We currently have an opportunity for Indigenous Trainee Dental Assistant to assist in the provision of dental services from our Bourke Outreach Dental Clinic.
We are looking for someone with:
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills including empathy, compassion and care
- Strong attention to detail
- Passionate to learn and grow their career
- A team player
- Strong safety and infection control awareness.
As part of this 12 Month traineeship you would be supported to complete a Certificate III in Dental Assisting.
The Key Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Chair-side assisting to Dentist, Dental Therapist, Oral Health therapist and Students.
- Infection control protocols and Sterilisation requirements.
- Oral health education
- Completion of Certificate III in Dental Assisting
- Other duties as required
