Human Resources Coordinator
The RFDS South Eastern Section is an iconic not for profit organisation, providing an invaluable service to rural and remote communities.
We are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to coordinate and support the HR functions across all departments of our multi-faceted organisation. The role is full time fixed term with a view to moving to a permanent position within a 3-6 month period.
The role will be supported by a team of experienced HR practitioners and will report directly to the General Manager – People and Culture.
The working location is open to the suitable candidate in line with the following offices Sydney, Dubbo or Broken Hill.
The role offers a great career opportunity for an experienced HR Coordinator and we would also consider a top level graduate HR administrator (1-5 years' exp) looking to move to the next level in their career.
Position Responsibilities Include
- Support in recruitment activities such as preparing letters of offer, visa application process, creating new employee files.
- Assist with the on-boarding process for all new hires, including adding to HR on-boarding training, commencing background checks, calendar invites and coordinate benefits setup
- Coordinate the movement of all employees including commencements, transfers, leave management and departures
- Maintain and coordinate reminders on probationary dates, visa expires, fixed term contracts
- Prepare promotion or transfer letters for employees and any other employee related correspondence as required
- Assistance with payroll related employee processes, queries, administration and reporting
- Support the coordination and organisation of learning and development programs and in-house training as required
- At times, provide first level HR support to employees with guidance from more experienced members of the team
- Create and run reports as required.
The Ideal Candidate Will Meet The Following Criteria
- Formal qualifications in HR
- Demonstrated experience in a similar generalist role and the confidence to provide employee and industrial advice
- Knowledge of Australian Industrial Relations legislation
- Excellent communication skills, a passion for people and strong relationship building ability
- Highly effective planning and organisational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- High level administrative, IT and reporting skills
- Experience in the Microsoft Office suite and HRIS
