x2 Full Time Positions - Broken Hill & Dubbo

The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia South Eastern Section provides comprehensive health services to rural and remote communities in far west NSW, SA and QLD.

The Health Quality Safety Officer (QSO) is responsible for supporting the business to deliver quality outcomes in clinical care. The QSO supports the Manager Governance, Education & Engagement, Health leadership team and clinicians in clinical quality & safety initiatives such as incident management and investigation, complaint management and investigation, developing and delivering quality improvement initiatives, change management, risk identification and management and safety promotional activities across the RFDS SE.


Qualifications & Experience that are essential:
• Relevant tertiary qualification in a health related field
• Unencumbered registration with the relevant health board
• Experience in clinical health leadership or management
• Analyse, monitor, report and evaluate patient safety and accreditation initiatives.
• Knowledge of culture change, human factors, quality and safety techniques including clinical practice improvement and root cause.

Desirable:
• Experience in aviation health or related field
• Competent in navigating and using IT systems such as Microsoft Office Suite
• Proven data analysis skills and the ability to use computer technology effectively in order to collect, monitor and synthesise quantitative and qualitative data from core clinical quality and patient safety systems, including incident management.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the skills to manage several projects concurrently, with varying time-frames and workloads, in a high-volume work environment. They will display excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with staff at all levels.
The successful candidate will demonstrated skills in leadership and motivation with experience in mentoring, coaching and facilitating multidisciplinary teams.
