The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (RFDS) is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world. We deliver extensive health care and 24-hour emergency service to those who live in and travel through remote, rural and regional Australia.
While we do receive government funding, we rely on funding from the community to deliver our services. As part of an exciting phase in our growth to deliver more services to more people that need it, we have embarked on an ambitious strategy to increase revenue from the community. This includes leveraging revenue streams such as tourism. We are due to open a new multi-media immersive experience in Dubbo and have ambitious plans for Broken Hill.
To manage this exciting period of growth, the RFDS South Eastern Section is currently looking for a full time Head of Tourism to join our busy Marketing and Communications team in Dubbo.
As Head of Tourism you will manage the key components of the tourism strategy for facilities in Dubbo and Broken Hill. Working closely with key industry stakeholders, consultants and internal stakeholders you will be responsible for ensuring that both centres reach net revenue targets.
The successful candidate will have the following requirements:
Relevant tertiary qualification in marketing, tourism or consumer research related
Experience in tourism marketing, research and operational aspects of tourism
Experience in managing Profit and Loss Responsibility
Superior stakeholder management skills
Proficient project management capability
Quantitative and Qualitative research
Be able to demonstrate capability in customer experience journeys
