General Manager Fundraising & Marketing
The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (RFDS) is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world. Using the latest in aviation, medical and communications technology, we deliver extensive health care and 24-hour emergency service to those who live in and travel through remote, rural and regional Australia.
The RFDS South Eastern Section is currently looking for an experienced General Manager, Fundraising & Marketing to join our organisation and Executive in leading and delivering on our organisational strategy. This position will be responsible for leading our busy Fundraising, Digital, Tourism and Marketing and Communications teams.
The successful candidate for this role will have expertise in fundraising, marketing, branding, corporate communications and stakeholder engagement. As a strategic thinker and contributor, you will accountable for the continuing evolution and implementation of the fundraising plan and targets as well as the ongoing development of the organisation’s communication and engagement across a broad range of stakeholders.
Offering diverse leadership skills and you will be a strong leader and mentor with extensive knowledge and experience to share as well as proficiency in the following areas:
- Experience in developing sound business and financial plans for fundraising activities
- Strong leadership skills in a not for profit organisation
- High level stakeholder and donor cultivation, within a not for profit organisation
- Understanding and experience of marketing communications and media channels
- Solid operational business experience, ideally with large databases
- Experience in strategic planning
- Highly developed oral, written and presentation skills
- Superb relationship management skills
