General Manager Base Operations & Service Delivery

The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia, South Eastern Section (RFDS SE)provides essential primary health care and medical retrieval services to regional, rural and remote communities across south-eastern Australia.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and resilient General Manager, Operations & Service Delivery based in Sydney. Reporting to the
Chief Executive Officer, you will be a key member of the executive management team and will lead a team of highly skilled, multi-disciplinary professionals,
to deliver services across Tasmania, New South Wales, along with parts of South Australia and Queensland.

We have six operational bases located across multiple regional and rural areas, including Sydney, this role will primarily be responsible for the
oversight of the day-to-day logistics, service delivery and the operations from each Base to assure on time, high quality, aero-medical and primary healthcare
services.

To do this some of the key elements of the role are:

• Coordinate available resources to meet operational requirements and demands
• Develop and implement key performance reporting to monitor base performance
• Monitor and report for performance against contractual obligations
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve SE business processes, contract compliance and service delivery
• Participate in, and review, RFP's for service requests and opportunities
• Oversee base facilities and infrastructure to ensure all buildings, aircraft equipment and services are fit for purpose, maintained to high safety standards and all assets are secure
• Work with the executive team to ensure governance, regulatory and policy requirements are implemented and supported across operations
• Develop a front line employee culture that recognises our client base and delivers exceptional client service
• Promote a 'just culture' to deliver a safe work environment for all employees and customers.

It is important you have relevant tertiary qualifications in operations or a related discipline and a minimum of 10+ years working in a senior operational role, ideally in a commercial service delivery environmentrequiring complex logistical management.

Applicants who have experience specifically in health and / or aviation service orientated operational roles will be highly desirable.

The ability to work with, and respond to,multi-disciplinary regulatory requirements is critical and knowledge of the aviation or health regulatory environment specifically is desirable.

Eligibility to receive and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) is a requirement of this role.

Please note that the role will require substantial regional travel within Tasmania, Victoria and N.S.W.
