We are seeking an experienced and proactive Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead our Accounts Payable function and manage a small, high-performing team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to an organisation that combines financial excellence with a meaningful purpose.
About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the Accounts Payable function across RFDSSE and its Medical Practices. You will oversee daily operations, drive process improvements, maintain strong vendor relationships, and ensure accurate and timely payment processing.
This role offers the opportunity to lead financial operations, support key stakeholders, and contribute to a culture of operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor the Accounts Payable team
Manage the full accounts payable lifecycle, including invoice processing and payment runs
Oversee vendor management and resolve invoicing or payment issues
Ensure compliance with financial policies, delegations, and accounting standards
Prepare and review payment batches including EFT, BPAY, payroll and superannuation payments
Monitor aged payables and month-end deliverables
Support audits, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow activities
Drive process improvements and system enhancements, including Technology One initiatives
Partner with stakeholders across the organisation to improve accounts payable processes and education
About You
You are a detail-oriented finance leader who enjoys building relationships, improving processes and developing teams.
To be successful, you will bring:
5+ years' experience in a similar Accounts Payable leadership role
Strong accounts payable and financial management experience
Proven people leadership and coaching capabilities
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience working with ERP and financial systems
Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
A proactive, continuous improvement mindset
Highly Regarded
Experience within health care, not-for-profit or community services
Technology One Finance experience
Xero experience
