Flight Operations Administrator & Project Officer

The Royal Flying Doctor Service South Eastern Section seeks to appoint a Flight Operations Administrator & Project Officer based at Waterloo, to support the Head of Flight Operations in maintaining department’s rhythm and providing timely response to Safety Management Systems.
Working in collaboration with the Head of Flight Operations, their team members and Manager Aviation Systems, the Flight Operations Administrator & Project Officer is responsible for supporting the department in day to day activities and providing timely responses to the Safety Management Systems (SMS). The Flight Operations Administrator & Project Officer assists Flight Operations Department with secretarial duties as well as project support, research, analysis and integration of SMS findings into the Flight Operations policies, procedures and training.
To be considered for this position you must:
• Have at least 12-months experience working in aviation or flight operations environment
• Recognised Tertiary qualifications (Commercial Pilot Licence or higher an advantage)
• Understanding of quality, risk and safety management systems; including human factors in an aviation or other transport environment
• Advanced computer skills in the use of Microsoft Office applications, Apple Pages, Numbers and Keynote.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with staff at all levels including internal / external stakeholders and suppliers
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work very effectively and efficiently on individual assignments or team projects without direct supervision
• Experience in administrative processes and knowledge and/or experience of project coordination practices
• Aptitude for technology, with experience in multiple software applications and/or business information systems
• Have effective analytical, problem solving skills and make good decisions, often at short notice
