Engineer Manager
The RFDS is seeking applications for a Mascot-based Engineering Manager reporting to the General Manager of Aviation and Strategic Development.
This people-focused role drives quality across resource planning and allocation, providing technical direction and business guidance to the geographically dispersed Engineering Team. The successful candidate must proactively develop and maintain a team of high performance, continuously seeking innovative methods to improve quality and productivity.
The successful candidate should possess the following:
- Minimum of 10 years' working experience as in Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer;
- Proven track record in management and leadership of an aircraft and component engineering and maintenance facility with emphasis in a multi–base organisation;
- Past experience working in Engineering Management or in a equivalent senior role, and preferably B1 and B2 licenced
- A high standard of technical knowledge and experience in aircraft and/or aircraft engines, components and stores;
- Sound knowledge of the relevant CASA regulations and requirements in respect to aircraft an component maintenance;
- Ability to support the development of a workplace that encourages safety, quality, innovation,cooperation and continuous improvement through employee involvement;
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with staff at alllevels, internal/external customers, suppliers/vendors and CASA;
- Skilled in the preparation and presentation of budgets and reports in a concise and logical manner;
- Be familiar with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2000);
- Eligibility to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC);
- Advanced computer skills in the use of Microsoft Office applications;
- Eligible to live and work in Australia
