Job Summary
The Document Controller is responsible for managing company documentation and related services to Flight Operations, Engineering, Health Services and Safety within the RFDS South Eastern Section.
The position provides services related to the documentation management system (DMS), technical writing, document production & delivery, client support, and research on documentation issues. The position maintains and monitors documentation compliance requirements to organisation quality processes and procedures.

Job details
In this role the Document Controller is responsible for providing services related to the documentation management system (DMS), technical writing, document production & delivery, client support, and research on documentation issues of a complex or technical nature. Some of the tasks include:

  • Oversight of document management system, ensuring documents are current by reviewing and updating applicable documents
  • Ensure remote connections to the DMS are maintained to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Support the Patient Safety Quality Manager by standardising health services documentation to conform to quality standards.
  • Coordinate the technical content of policies and procedures across flight operations, engineering and safety manual suites by authoring technical content
  • Liaise with internal departments and third party vendors to ensure documentation is current and accurate, communicating relevant issues for resolution
  • Implement and maintain operational manuals, forms, ancillary documents and guidance material by creating and/or updating company documentation

Your skills and experience

  • Demonstrated document management experience, creating, publishing and distributing documentation
  • Proficient technical writing experience, preferably in an aviation/flight operations environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of the CASA regulatory framework (desirable)
