Every day RFDS flight nurses, doctors, dentists, chronic disease practitioners, mental health practitioners and other medical specialists take the finest care to the furthest corners of Australia.

Using the latest in aviation, medical and communications technology, the Flying Doctor delivers emergency services and health clinics in remote locations providing improved health outcomes in the Outback.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and suitably qualified dentist to take up a new position with our dental team, based in Broken Hill, NSW.

Your role, as a dentist in the Oral Heath Team, involves travel to communities in the Far West and Upper Western Sector of NSW, as well as parts of SA and QLD. This includes overnight stays in remote locations.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, of medical and allied health personnel, providing dental treatment and oral health education to the people in our network.

Last year alone, the RFDS SE Section provided oral healthcare to over 4,000 patients. This is an exciting opportunity for a dentist to provide much needed dental services to remote and indigenous communities.
