Every day RFDS flight nurses, doctors, dentists, chronic disease practitioners, mental health staff and other medical specialists take the finest care to the furthest corners of Australia.
Using the latest in aviation, medical and communications technology, the Flying Doctor delivers emergency services and health clinics in remote locations providing improved health outcomes in the Outback.
The Royal Flying Doctor Service is a federated organisation and this role is based in the South Eastern Section Marketing and Fundraising business unit.
About the role
This unique role reports to the Fundraising Manager, managing one direct report. The key focus is to develop and steward relationship strategies for acquisition and retention of support from community groups, organisations, Auxiliary Groups, and third party fundraisers for sustainable funding purposes. Working with key members of the team this is your opportunity to use your expertise to develop and drive the community fundraising program specifically in support of the work of the Royal Flying Doctor. .
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and refine community and third party fundraising acquisition and retention strategies.
- Guide, support and steward relationships with all support groups, fundraisers and RFDS Auxiliaries.
- Project manage the implementation of community fundraising and third party events.
- Develop and manage budgets and provide regular reports.
- Review and refresh policies, processes and procedures.
- Work closely with the data team to maintain and monitor Workflow Management in Raiser's Edge.
- Act in accordance with policies and ensure compliance with legislative and organisational policies
Your Skills & Attributes
- Significant experience in acquiring, managing and growing community fundraising portfolio in a not-for-profit environment.
- Extremely passionate about delivering the highest quality of service and support to fundraisers and supporters.
- Confident with excellent donor stewardship experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Must be target driven with a passion for achieving growth.
- Exceptional time management skills, driving multiple projects simultaneously.
- Highly professional and articulate with a genuine passion for fundraising.
- Highly proficient in working with Microsoft office and CRM systems
