Patient Safety Officer
The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (South Eastern Section) is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world. Using the latest in aviation, medical and communications technology, we deliver extensive health care and 24-hour emergency service to those who live in and travel through remote, rural and regional Australia.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Clinical Safety Officer to support the development and implementation of quality initiatives, assurance, training, risk management and safety in order to support the business to deliver quality outcomes in safety.
As the Clinical Safety Officer your day will involve an interesting mix of assurance, education and risk management activities. You will play an influential role and work with a diverse team of health and medical professionals across our organisation.
Further areas of focus will also include policy design and review, internal audits, training development and delivery and risk assessment and identification.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant qualification in a health care setting
- Demonstrated experience and improvement of in management systems
- Sound knowledge of Safety, Quality and Health standards
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Recent clinical experience
