The Royal Flying Doctor Service (South Eastern Section) is a leading and trusted healthcare provider in remote, rural and regional areas of South Eastern Australia. We provide communities across our network with a diverse range of healthcare services as well as emergency retrieval services throughout the outback.
To assist us to provide these world class services we are seeking applications from a motivated and dynamic person to play a key role in our ambitious and exciting Fundraising program. This role is located at our marketing office within the Sydney CBD.
This role will lead the development and implementation of a Bequest strategy to inspire and engage supporters and the wider public. The successful applicant will be part of a dedicated and passionate fundraising team.Manage and implement a strategy of retention to existing supporters who have pledged a bequest.
Position Responsibilities include
- Manage and implement a strategy of promotion of bequest opportunity to new bequest prospects with a view to significantly increasing numbers of bequest pledges.
- Manage the bequest program integration with the wider fundraising activities.
- Set and achieve revenue targets.
- Ensure a best practice donor response mechanism is in place for bequest enquiries.
- Design and implement donor surveys and specific targeted promotion of bequest opportunities.
- Oversee estate administration.
- Develop and present status updates.
- Budget Management
The Ideal Candidate Will Meet The Following Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, fundraising or related field.
- Significant successful experience working with bequest promotion within the NFP sector.
- Excellent communication skills with proven ability to engage over the phone
- Demonstrated ability to network, inspire others and build relationships.
- Experience in managing suppliers
- Experience in arranging events.
- Demonstrated understanding of bequest administration
- Strong work ethic
- Commitment and passion for the mission, vision and values of the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office / advanced in Excel and experience with Raiser’s Edge is desirable.
