Are you a passionate Dietitian looking for a role that combines clinical excellence, flexibility, and genuine purpose? The Royal Flying Doctor Service South Eastern Section (RFDSSE) is seeking an experienced and motivated Dietitian to join our Keeping Healthy Puura Manti Program (KHPMP), a multidisciplinary chronic disease program supporting communities across Far West NSW. In this unique role, you'll use virtual and digitally enabled care to improve access to high-quality nutrition services for people living with, or at risk of, chronic disease in rural and remote communities.

The Opportunity
As a Dietitian within KHPMP, you will provide evidence-based, culturally safe nutrition and dietetic services to clients across Far West NSW, supporting the prevention and management of chronic conditions including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease, obesity, hypertension, respiratory conditions, and malnutrition.
Working predominantly through virtual consultations and other digitally enabled care models, you'll help bridge healthcare access gaps for people living in rural and remote Australia while collaborating closely with General Practitioners, Aboriginal Health Practitioners, Chronic Disease Nurses, Care Navigators, Allied Health Professionals, and community partners.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver comprehensive nutrition assessments and personalised care plans.
- Provide medical nutrition therapy and practical nutrition counselling for chronic disease management.
- Conduct telehealth consultations and utilise digital health technologies to improve access to care.
- Support clients to build confidence, self-management skills, and sustainable lifestyle changes.
- Facilitate group education programs and health promotion initiatives.
- Participate in multidisciplinary care planning and case conferencing.
- Develop culturally responsive nutrition resources and education materials.
- Contribute to service evaluation, quality improvement activities, and program outcomes reporting.

About You
You are a compassionate and adaptable Dietitian who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about improving health equity.
To be successful, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status, or eligibility to obtain and maintain APD status.
- Experience delivering evidence-based nutrition and dietetic services in primary health care, community health, or chronic disease settings.
- Strong knowledge of chronic disease prevention and management.
- Excellent communication, engagement, and education skills.
- Experience managing clinical caseload and working autonomously.
- Confidence using electronic medical records, telehealth platforms, and digital technologies.
Highly regarded:
- Rural and remote healthcare experience.
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Experience delivering telehealth or digitally enabled healthcare services.
- Experience facilitating community or group education programs.
