The Royal Flying Doctor ServiceSouth Eastern Section (RFDSSE) is part of one of Australia's most respected and trusted healthcare organisations, delivering 24-hour emergency aeromedical retrievals and essential primary healthcare services to people living and working in remote,rural and regional communities. We are seeking an experienced Primary Health Nurse (Registered Nurse) to join the team at Clive Bishop Medical Centre (CBMC) in Broken Hill on a full-time, maximum-term contract until 30 June 2027. Established in 2014 to provide accessible medical care for residents of remote properties and communities surrounding Broken Hill, CBMC has grown into a thriving practice known for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to the township and surrounding region. This is an exciting opportunity to join a welcoming and collaborative team committed to improving health outcomes across our communities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Significant experience working in clinic based Primary Health settings in rural and remote areas

  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Primary Health Care including Chronic Disease Management, Child and Family Health, Women’s Health, Men’s Health, Health promotion, Early Intervention

  • Experience in venepuncture, cannulation, ECGs, spirometry, ear syringing

  • Experience with electronic medical record systems, preferably Best Practice

  • Working autonomously and supporting our GP’s and primary health teams

  • Familiar with rural and remote conditions relating to Health Care


Skills Required:

  • Registered Nurse with non-conditional AHPRA registration

  • Nurse Immuniser Certificate

  • Basic Life Support Certification (within past 12 months)

  • Excellent computer literacy,prioritisation and time management skills

  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team

  • Collaborative approach to problem solving
