Description

The RFDS (South Eastern Section) is an organisation that requires little introduction. With a 95-year history our name is synonymous with being a trusting health care provider and one of the most comprehensive aeromedical services in the world.

Our Health Care offering extends beyond our traditional retrieval and emergency service and covers Dental, Mental Health, Patient Transport and Primary Health.

We’re currently seeking a General Practitioner on a Part-Time basis (0.6FTE) to join our Primary Health team to provide a mantle of care to those in rural and remote NSW.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Work in close and respectful relationships to deliver accessible, integrated patient care
  • Conduct preventative/screening procedures and assessments
  • Assist with patient education and community health promotion activities
  • Chronic disease management plans and health assessments
  • Provide culturally safe Women’s Child and Family Health care
  • Travel between our Dubbo base and our clinics in various locations across Northwest NSW
Working closely with the team and community liaisons, this role is pivotal in the success of our mobile Primary Health Team and the service we can provide to those communities who need it the most. We value each other's contribution and professional experience and stand by our motto ‘there’s always time for coffee’.

Essential criteria:
  • Be willing and able to travel and stay to rural and remote communities depending on clinics and community needs
  • Hold current unconditional General Registration and Specialist Registration with AHPRA
  • Hold fellowship with FRACGP or FACRRM
  • Have a genuine interest in preventative health and education
We are a hard-working team that value the relationships we have built and continue to build with our communities. Each community has its individual characteristics and as clinicians we become members of those communities.

Our Values of Reliability, Care, Trust and Safety shape the way we work as individuals, as team members and with the communities we serve.

The RFDS (South-Eastern Section) is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, colour, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or protected Veteran status.
