Description
The Royal Flying Doctor Service is an organisation that requires little introduction. We’ve been supporting rural and remote communities since 1928 and are there when we’re needed most.
Are you ready for a change from a hospital setting or even out of the city? We are currently recruiting for the Emergency Retrieval team of our organisation. With us you’ll get the best of both worlds, regional living and the opportunity to be with a patient from the second they call for help to ensure they receive the best care.
A Day in the Life of a Retrieval Registrar
No two days or two patients will be the same. We offer a variety of rotations at our various sites in the Far West and Western, NSW including;
- our Bases in Dubbo and Broken Hill;
- local rural hospitals; and
- providing telehealth services.
- have a minimum of 5 years post graduate experience;
- be an advanced trainee with 18 months critical care (ED and ICU) and 6 months of Anaesthetics experience;
- have experience in the management of critically ill patients including trauma;
- ideally have knowledge of ALS, APLS, ATLS (or equivalent) and modern critical care practice.
- Two weeks of study leave;
- Six weeks of annual leave;
