Description

The Royal Flying Doctor Service has been supporting rural and remote communities since 1928 and are there when needed most. In the past 12 months we have delivered over 85,000 occasions of care including Emergency Retrieval, Patient Transfers, Mental Health Consultations, Dental Care and Vaccinations and we’re now seeking a Senior Primary Health Nurse to lead our Mobile Primary Health Team in North Western NSW.

This is a newly created role and your opportunity to become a part of RFDS’s history as we move further into Primary Health for our communities that need it most. From places including; Lightning Ridge, Wanaaring, The Marra and back to Dubbo, we have both mobile and static clinics that are operating on a monthly basis.

Working in close partnership with our Regional Services Manager the role will be responsible for:

  • Nursing duties in the Primary Health Mobile Clinics
  • Contribute to the development of the Mobile Clinics
  • Regular reviews of the workforce requirements and performance
  • Assist with data collection, reporting and analysis
  • Manage the logistical requirements for the team with equipment and travel
Essential Criteria for the role:
  • Experience in managing a geographically dispersed team
  • Current AHRPA Registration
  • Minimum 5 years post graduate experience
  • Experience establishing policies and procedures
This is a varied role that could see you working across various locations and contracts that RFDSSE manage.
