Description

We are currently seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Support Officer to join our maintenance base located in Dubbo NSW.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Coordination of the Dubbo aircraft spare parts store: - stock control, dispatching parts to other stores within the network, delivering parts to other stores within the network, purchasing parts, organising repair orders, data entry of parts removal/installation details
  • Ground handling of aircraft: - towing aircraft around the airport and into/out of the hangar, refuelling aircraft, cleaning aircraft inside and outside, preparing aircraft ready for flight
  • Coordination of aircraft tooling and equipment: - ensuring all calibrated tooling and equipment is within calibration parameters, receipting and dispatching tooling and equipment for repair/calibration, monitoring tooling and equipment that is loaned/rented to other bases or customers
  • Supporting Aircraft Maintenance Engineers in aircraft maintenance duties: - provide assistance with engine compressor washes, engine ground runs, component maintenance & overhaul, daily inspections and medical equipment changeovers
  • Repairs to hangars and facilities: - light general repairs to the hangar, tooling, equipment and offices
  • Travel to and from other ports within the RFDSSE network will be required
To be considered for this role, you will be a well organised person with excellent technical knowledge who has had experience operating in a spare parts or logistics department. You will have impeccable attention to detail and time management skills whilst being able to deliver on competing priorities and meeting the expectations of numerous internal and external customers.

Essential criteria:
  • Storeperson experience, ideally in an aviation environment
  • Strong computer literacy including MS Office and experience with other proprietary software platforms
  • Experience working in a maintenance/workshop environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Stocktake or parts auditing experience
  • Spare parts purchasing experience
Desirable experience:
  • Aircraft Maintenance Engineer would be highly desirable
  • Aircraft maintenance experience or experience working in an aviation environment
  • Trade qualifications
