Description

The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia South Eastern Section provides comprehensive health services to rural and remote communities in far west NSW, SA and QLD.

The Wellbeing Place Coordinator position will support the coordination and service delivery of the RFDSSE Wellbeing Place in Dubbo. It will be a front of house role with requirement to develop and maintain systems and processes to enable effective service delivery to community and smooth working systems for internal staff. Allied mental health and wellbeing consultations, interventions, groups, education-discussion seminars and social-arts-cultural wellbeing activities will all occur in the RFDSSE Wellbeing Place.

This role will be the face of the Wellbeing Place and will maintain support for clients upon entering and leaving premises. The role will also provide basic administrative tasks to support senior management. The successful candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook and Publisher and also be capable to write and assist with grant applications.

Qualifications & Experience that are desirable:

  • Experience living with or caring for someone with mental ill-health or peer advocacy experience regarding mental health and wellbeing.
  • Experience in office administration or program management preferably in health field
  • Desirable – formal qualification relevant to role
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with professional with general public.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a multi-functional environment.
  • Ability to liaise effectively at all levels with a diverse range of people and disciplines, both within and outside the organisation.
  • Compassionate personality and personability when interacting with all people.
  • Professional boundary awareness when working with vulnerable people and a diverse population group
  • Have undergone or are willing to undergo Mental Health First Aid ATSI version or similar
  • Experience developing systems and processes, policy-procedure-guidelines and implementing same highly desirable
  • Full COVID-19 Vaccination
