Description

The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia South Eastern Section provides comprehensive health services to rural and remote communities in far west NSW, SA and QLD.

The Wellbeing Place Host Coordinator will support the coordination and service delivery of the RFDSSE Wellbeing Place in Broken Hill and is the face of the Wellbeing Place. This role is required to develop and maintain systems and processes to enable effective service delivery to community and smooth working systems for internal staff. Allied mental health and wellbeing consultations, interventions, groups, education-discussion seminars and social-arts-cultural wellbeing activities will all occur in the RFDSSE Wellbeing Place.

The role will also provide administrative tasks to support senior management therefore the successful candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook and Publisher and can manage a calendar, collect data and write reports.

Qualifications & Experience that are desirable:

  • Experience in office administration or program management preferably in health field
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with professionals and the general public
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a multi-functional environment
  • Ability to liaise effectively at all levels with a diverse range of people and disciplines, both within and outside the organisation
  • Compassionate personality and personability when interacting with all people
  • Professional boundary awareness when working with vulnerable people and a diverse population group
  • Have undergone or are willing to undergo Mental Health First Aid ATSI version or similar
  • Experience developing and implementing systems and processes and policy-procedure-guidelines
  • Formal qualification relevant to role
