Description

The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia South Eastern Section (RFDSSE) is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world. We provide a number of services including but not limited to’ Emergency Retrievals, Primary Health Clinics, Mental Health, Dental Services and Telehealth consultations to those living and travelling in Far-West NSW, South-West Queensland and Northern South Australia.

Based out of Dubbo, our new Project and Community Outreach Officer will provide support to Managers and project teams to effectively establish, plan, manage and deliver service delivery in the North West corridor.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Supporting research that incorporates Health Service findings, Community Development and codesign.
  • Review data and prepare reports for project lead
  • Assist in the development of a Model of Care
  • Produce activity reports
  • Identify and foster relationships with educational providers and research partners
This is a newly created role that is currently contracted for 2 years. It will involve travel within the North West Corridor and will be an integral part of our Health team.

Essential Criteria for the role:
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or other health related field or minimum 3 years’ experience in a nursing or allied health patient care role
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, social and emotional health and welfare issues
  • Experience in managing or coordinating health projects
  • Ability to collect, analyse and report on data
  • Evidence of Full COVID19 Vaccination
