Description
The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia South Eastern Section (RFDSSE) is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world. We provide a number of services including but not limited toβ Emergency Retrievals, Primary Health Clinics, Mental Health, Dental Services and Telehealth consultations to those living and travelling in Far-West NSW, South-West Queensland and Northern South Australia.
Based out of Dubbo, you will be joining a multi-disciplinary health care team who are committed to providing high quality and comprehensive Primary Health Care to our growing group of communities.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Conducting relevant and holistic health assessments to inform clinical decision making
- Promote and lead the Community engagement and development of the Aboriginal Nurse Practitioner position in the North- West Corridor
- Provide management of chronic and other long-term conditions in line with RACGP guidelines
- Ensure a patient centred practice and deliver education on clinical issues
- Partner with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, Nurses, and Doctors to deliver health care in a culturally safe manner
Essential Criteria for the role:
- Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration
- Master of Nursing β Nurse Practitioner
- Demonstrated advanced competency for Nurse Practitioner in Primary Health and evidence of more than 5,000 hours of advanced practice within the last 6 years
- Demonstrated commitment to work and partner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait, Islander patients and families and employees to enhance health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
- Evidence of full COVID19 Vaccination

You will be required to provide confirmation that you are of Aboriginal decent and are excepted as such by the community in which you live. A Confirmation of Aboriginality Form from an Aboriginal Organisation with their common seal must be shown as proof.
