Description

The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (RFDS) is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world. Using the latest in aviation, medical and communications technology our vision is to be the leading and most trusted provider of healthcare services to remote, rural and regional parts of South Eastern Australia.

The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (RFDS) South Eastern Section has opportunities available for Registrars across both Emergency and Anaesthetics with intakes occurring in August 2022 and February 2023.

We can have our Medical Officers either based in Broken Hill or Dubbo to work across RFDS Emergency Retrieval as well as provide emergency telehealth services to remote communities.

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 5 years post graduate experience Advanced trainee least 18 months critical care (ED or ICU) and 6 months of Anaesthetics experience
  • Experience in the management of critically ill patients including trauma
  • Knowledge of ALS, APLS, ATLS (or equivalents) and modern critical care practice
  • Evidence of competency in procedures relevant to critical care
  • Evidence of full COVID-19 vaccination
