Description
The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia South Eastern Section (RFDSSE) provides comprehensive health services to rural and remote communities in Far West NSW, SA and QLD.
We are currently seeking two (2) permanent part time Infection Control Officers to lead and evaluate the RFDSSE Infection Control Management Plan in collaboration with various teams across the organisation. The positions will be based in Dubbo and Broken Hill.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Policy creation and review to ensure meeting latest Standards in Infection Prevention and Control;
- Provide timely and accurate reports including action plans related to the infection control program;
- Manage, coordinate and support Infection control portfolio holders to deliver on Infection control programs;
- Co-design and implement the Antimicrobial stewardship program (auditing, case review, data collection and escalation of concerns);
- Assist with the delivery of infection control and staff safety promotional programs as required.
- Tertiary qualification in Nursing and clinical experience in a health care setting;
- Demonstrated specialist nursing knowledge and advanced clinical skills in infection prevention and control;
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate adult learning across a range of subject areas pertinent to infection prevention and control;
- Ability to use systems and applications for surveillance and audit including reporting;
- Evidence of COVID19 Vaccination.
