Description

The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (RFDS) is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world. Using the latest in aviation, medical and communications technology, we deliver extensive health care and 24-hour emergency service to those who live in and travel through rural, regional and remote Australia.

To assist us to provide these world class services we are seeking applications to join our team and play a key role in our ambitious and exciting Fundraising program.

Based in our Sydney Office in Surry Hills, the Major Gifts Senior Coordinator is a pivotal role, responsible for the implementation of our major donor strategy as part of a high functioning Philanthropy Team.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • High-level engagement and relationships with current and lapsed donors, as well as prospects
  • Work closely with Health and Aviation teams to develop compelling proposals and timely acquittal reports for individuals, trusts and foundations and corporates
  • Organise and lead base tours and site visits for significant donors
  • Build relationships across the Fundraising Team to identify donors in other portfolios with the propensity to give more
Essential Criteria for the Role
  • Experience in soliciting gifts over $10,000.00
  • Experience and expertise in developing relationships with major donors
  • Proficient understanding of Fundraising industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge or similar database
  • Successful track record in high level major gifts fundraising – relationship management and the development of sophisticated proposals
  • Evidence of full COVID-19 vaccination
