Contract and permanent
The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia South Eastern Section provides comprehensive health services to rural and remote communities in far west NSW, SA and QLD. We currently have a number of vacancies available across our Mental Health team in various locations as detailed below.
AoD Clinician – Dubbo (Permanent role)
This position will deliver short-term case management to identified clients requiring support with alcohol and other substance abuse. The successful candidate will also receive clinical support and supervision and have access to a visiting Addictions Specialist.
Wellbeing Place Host – Lightning Ridge (Contract until June 2022)
This role will be the face of the Wellbeing Place and will maintain a safe organised welcoming environment for people accessing and enquiry after services . The role will also provide basic administrative tasks to support colleagues and senior management. The successful candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook and Publisher. Have the ability to manage a calendar, collect data and write reports.
Mental Health Professional (Case Manager) – Broken Hill (Contract until June 2022)
This position will provide a coordinated clinical-care service to clients living with a chronic mental illness in Broken Hill. MHNIP is a very flexible program, allowing the consumer to receive the services they need where, when and for as long as they need. This is particularly important for people with more severe mental health problems. The program is designed to cater for the episodic nature of some mental illnesses, operating successfully as part of a Stepped Care Approach. The MHNIP is delivered by Credentialed Mental Health Nurses (CMHN) or a candidate working towards Credentialing (or equivalent).
Mental Health Professional – Cobar (Parental Leave Cover until May 2022)
This role is based in our Cobar offices and will work alongside two members of our Alcohol and Other Drug team. This role will provide counselling-psychological therapies to people living in Cobar and a 2-hour service radius who are experiencing mild-moderate mental ill-health, substance use problems or generalised wellbeing stressors.
