Description
The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia South Eastern Section (RFDSSE) provides comprehensive health services to rural and remote communities in Far West NSW, SA and QLD.
We currently have a new role available as our Manager for Workforce and Development. The role will provide leadership, strategy development and stakeholder engagement with a strong focus on workforce development for RFDSSE.
The role can be based in either Dubbo, Broken Hill or Sydney and will be expected to work between the bases leading the portfolio of Education and Workforce Development.
Reporting to the General Manager Health Service your responsibilities will include, but are NOT limited to:

- Provide direction, coordination, advice, and guidance to build a workforce of the future
- Identify and engage in projects in line with workforce needs and future directions
- Be the strategic lead as RFDSSE builds towards a ‘Centre of Excellence’ in rural and remote healthcare
- Manage the acquisition and maintenance of educational assets and equipment
- Source grant funding and other means of financial contribution
- Partner with RFDS Federation Colleagues
- Support a growing research agenda that focusses on rural and remote healthcare
- Experience engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Bachelors degree in Health Science, Education or related field
- Demonstrated experienced in clinical education, health education or management role
- High level business and bid writing skills
- Proven track record and expertise in strategic workforce development
