Description

The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (RFDS) is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world. Using the latest in aviation, medical and communications technology we deliver extensive health care and 24-hour emergency service to those who live in and travel through remote, rural and regional Australia.

The Royal Flying Doctor Service South Eastern Section (RFDSSE) seeks to appoint a Principal Advisor Quality and Risk based at the Surry Hills office in Sydney. The Principal Advisor Quality and Risk is responsible for supporting the business to deliver quality based outcomes utilising risk management principles.

Reporting to the Head of Risk and Assurance, your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Maintain the Quality Management System to meet the ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Maintain the internal audit program and conduct internal business system audits.
  • Maintain the risk management framework.
  • Facilitate risk assessments at an enterprise and operational levels.
  • Develop safety, quality and risk education programs.
  • Report and analyse data related to organisational risk.
To be considered for this position you must have:
  • Minimum 5 years in a quality and risk related role.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting internal business system audits.
  • Demonstrated understanding of ISO 31000: 2009 and ISO 9001:2015 principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate risk workshops and deliver training.
  • Demonstrated understanding of quality and safety management systems.
  • Advanced computer skills in the use of Microsoft Office applications specifically Excel.
  • Familiarity with I-Auditor and Air Maestro software would be beneficial.
  • Familiar with and understanding of the Work, Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently on individual assignments or team projects without direct supervision.
